BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan, meaning “Beyond The Scene”) is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) in 2013. The group consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. BTS has become one of the most influential and commercially successful acts in music history, known for genre-blending music that spans hip-hop, pop, R&B, and EDM, along with socially conscious lyrics addressing mental health, self-love, and youth culture. Their global fanbase, known as ARMY, is one of the most dedicated in the world.
BTS’s 2026 comeback marks a historic moment for both the group and ARMY. After a nearly four-year hiatus during which all seven members completed South Korea’s mandatory military service, the group reunited in July 2025 to begin recording their fifth studio album. The announcement briefly crashed Weverse, demonstrating the massive global demand for their return.
